Dot the Airstream's renovation progress

We have just started work on renovating Dot the Airstream, our 1952 Flying Cloud.

We have now stripped out the interior, salvaging as many original components and cabinets as possible in order to re-use.

Scott has reinforced the chassis frame in a key areas by welding steel bars in place. We have coated the entire chassis with rust-proof paint, and created a new solid subfloor.

We’re now starting to polish her exterior! Many, many hours of work are ahead of us with this but she is shining up so beautifully already!

Next, we will replace some fixtures, work on the belly pan, paint the interior white and get her registered within Victoria Australia. She will then be offered as a blank canvas for her new owner to fit out in their own personal style.

Check out our For Sale page for more information.

Dot The Airstream has arrived!

Dot the Airstream is a very rare 1952 Flying Cloud Airstream that we sourced from Kansas USA. We imported her into Australia in early 2019 and she is currently awaiting her transformation before being placed up for sale. For more information, check out our For Sale page!

"Peggy Sue" has sold!

EDIT: SOLD!

We have just popped our big beautiful girl 'Peggy Sue' up for sale! For more information take a look at our For Sale page.

Peggy Sue the Airstream

We've had so many wonderful adventures with Peggy Sue.... she was the first Airstream we imported into Australia from California way back in 2012. In the past 6 years she has travelled so much of Australia, participated in rallies with Airstream Club Australia and been featured in so books, magazines, blogs, social media....

We'll be sad to see her go but excited to see what she does next!

'Skye' the Airstream is finished!

Wowsers! It has been an intense couple of months as we have finalised the renovations of 'Skye' the Airstream. To say we're proud of her is an understatement!

'Skye' has had a complete restoration; steel chassis reinforcements, brand new subfloor, new kitchen, airconditioning, hotwater system, the list goes on! Whilst 'Peggy Sue' (our other Airstream) has a sunny, vintage, boho soul, 'Skye' has a  modern, cosy 'hygge' vibe!

She is 22 foot long and sleeps up to four people. If you'd love to book her, you'll find all the info you need on Skye's page.

For those that love the gory bits and appreciate before/after photos, here is a (very) brief pictorial summary of her journey this year.

Testing our hand built Teardrop Trailer

EDIT: This teardrop trailer was sold in March 2018.

Scott (our logistics master) is happiest when on an adventure or working with his hands. Behind the scenes he's been building a teardrop trailer from scratch. It's nearing completion so, before finalising the kitchenette design, we hit the road for a night to try it out!

Very soon this self-sufficient teardrop trailer will be available to hire for your own adventures! It only weighs 400kg so even a VW Beetle could tow it... all you'll need is a towball.

Stay tuned for photos once it's completed!

Wanderlings has launched!

We're not ones to keep saying 'no' when our hearts are saying 'yes!'

Wanderlings is the brainchild of Jessie and Scott Curtis-Griffiths, who founded Airstream Dreams in 2012 and Happy Glamper in 2013. Our love of vintage Airstreams, unique caravans and campers has been bursting at the seams for years so we have launched Wanderlings to dedicate more of our time to our passion.

Stay tuned, we have loads of adventures planned!
